TASC seeks a diverse delegation that represents a cross-section of the United States' and Taiwan's accomplished student population. Full-time university students are strongly encouraged to apply. No previous experience with Asian Studies or the Chinese language is required as the Conference welcomes students from all fields of study and is conducted in English. TASC does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, age, religion, marital status or sexual orientation.

For reference, the average round trip airfare to Taiwan in the summer costs $1500+ alone. It is thanks to our gracious sponsors that Taiwan-America Students Conference is able to keep the program cost as low as possible to lessen the financial burden for participants. Scholarships and financial aid are available for accepted and qualified students. See below for more information. |

scholarship information
There are a limited number of scholarships that will be awarded to the most qualified applicants and/or those with the most demonstrated need. Scholarships will cover up to $2000 of the $2500 registration fee. All scholarship applications will be carefully and independently reviewed, evaluated, and voted upon by members of the American Executive Committee. Applicants will be notified of their scholarship award status by April 1, 2014.
To apply for a scholarship, please fill out and submit the Scholarship Application by March 23, 2014.
Scholarship applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so we highly encourage interested applicants to submit early on.
