National Taiwan University
Taiwanese Chair and Central Site Coordinator
Andrea is currently a sophomore studying nursing. As a twice-host family member, Andrea participated in TASC 2016 as a delegate at her first year of university. Spending most of the time on medical area, Andrea has received a common question from people, asking why she would be interested in Taiwan-America relation since nursing seems to have less to do with politics. It does not always make sense to her that people should focus on only one specific realm, especially when the issue is about her lovable home country. None of the Taiwanese people should or can stay out of this. We care about our nation, so we take action to improve through our professions. Attending various Model United Nations Conferences and serving as several international events’ volunteer, Andrea values the ability to establish effective communication between people, empathise with another individual or group and thus reduce unnecessary conflicts. The journey is long, but TASC is Andrea’s wonderful start.
