臺美共創：TASC  is  a  joint  Taiwan - U.S.  collaboration.

We believe that international collaboration is the key to addressing and resolving the world’s greatest needs. Each TASC conference is planned and led by a joint executive committee composed of American and Taiwanese students. By placing international collaboration at the heart of TASC’s creation, we provide a bold, inspiring environment for delegates to see and experience the power of cross-cultural partnership.

議題實踐：TASC  turns  abstract  ideas  into  actionable  solutions.

We believe that actions speak louder than words. Our Roundtable discussion format is designed to help student delegates develop creative solutions for the most important problems affecting the United States and Taiwan today. A 21-day excursion throughout Taiwan provides delegates with the necessary academic, professional, and experiential knowledge needed to formulate well-informed responses to these pressing issues. Each TASC conference culminates in the Final Forum, in which Roundtables present their findings and propose tangible solutions to a panel of local and global ripplemakers eager to invest in the ideas brought forth by TASC delegates.

自主平等：TASC  amplifies  all  student  voices.

We believe that boldness exists in all forms of expression. Keeping in step with our commitment towards cross-cultural partnership, we work to ensure that every delegate is valued and heard -- regardless of nationality, language, or cultural background. We recognize the cultural and social barriers that come with international collaboration, and we work together across boundaries to overcome them. TASC runs on a system of mutual respect and understanding.

以人為本：TASC  values  people.

We believe in the power of stories. TASC thrives on interpersonal engagement -- whether it’s through visits to indigenous tribes, interactions with local shopkeepers, or even long bus rides with fellow delegates. At TASC, we go beyond cultural enrichment to bring delegates a fully immersive experience that challenges them to initiate dialogue, grapple with conflict, and look at the world from new perspectives. We believe in engaging, not just observing.

兼容並蓄：TASC  is  diverse,  equitable,  and  accessible.

We believe that TASC is for everyone. More than anything else, TASC seeks students with an unquenchable passion for making a difference in the world. TASC is open to future leaders of all stripes: academics, writers, scientists, activists, policymakers, entrepreneurs, artists. We see immense value in students of all cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds, and we strive to create a multifaceted, multidimensional delegation that offers a wide representation of what it means to be Taiwanese or American. We believe that “diversity” is more than a buzzword. TASC is a non-profit organization that is entirely student-run. We are working hard to make TASC affordable for all qualified applicants.
