2017 American Executive Committee Chair; 2016 American Delegate
University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign '17
Major: Psychology, Minor: Asian American Studies
Alison is currently the Chair on TASC’s Board of Directors. She was an American delegate for the 2016 conference and came back as the Chair of the Executive Committee for the 2017 conference. Alison graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign May of 2017 and currently works and volunteers in the legal field. With immigrant parents from Taiwan, Alison grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Mainly her life was focused on academia and assimilation into the society around her. Taiwan was never the topic of conversation growing up. After her exposure to her Taiwanese identity in college, two years ago, her interest and passion in Taiwan has blossomed into dedication to her parent’s country and the country where she grew up. She hopes that the Taiwan-America Student Conference grows and prosper for years to come. Through sparking conversations about the relationship between Taiwan and the United States, she hopes that will help the world to understand how important people to people exchange between these two countries will benefit each other, and the world. During her free time, she likes to go hiking around the Bay Area, watch netflix, try new foods, and travel.
