Andrea Lin

Kaohsiung Medical University
Taichung, Taiwan
Hello! My name is Andrea Lin, and I'm a recent graduate of Kaohsiung Medical University, where I majored in Pharmacy. I was born in Taichung, Taiwan. Last year, I joined the World Healthcare Students Symposium in Switzerland and met lots of students who majored in a medical-related field. Through WHSS, I experienced inter-professional collaboration on an international scale. It made me realize that cross-cultural communication plays an important role in connecting the world. Because I interact with people from different fields, I want to work in interdisciplinary legal studies one day.

On campus, I was the vice president of the Pharmaceutical Students' Association of Taiwan, and held activities that helped to connect pharmacy students. In my spare time, I
like to watch movies, go jogging and spontaneously try new things. I think these activities respectively represent an international view, persistence and different ways of thinking for me, so I am looking forward to meeting this coming year’s delegates and listening to their diverse ideas.

I applied to TASC on a whim because I wanted to challenge myself and experience different cultures; however, I ended up realizing that TASC gave me a lot more than I had originally expected. We made a number of inspiring friends, visited a variety of stunning places and came up with many amazing solutions. The 17 days of TASC contained some of the most unforgettable moments I have ever had. I think the best part of the conference was the exchange and reinterpretation of thoughts and ideas, which can lead to creative and innovative results. It is an honor for me to recreate this fantastic experience for next summer. I look forward to seeing next year’s delegates grow professionally and personally at the 2nd TASC conference.
