Director of Recruitment Taitung, Taiwan I am a junior majoring in Foreign Languages and Literatures at National Taiwan University. I am also studying under the Educational Program for Secondary School Teachers. Currently living in Taipei, I was born and grew up in Taitung, the rural county famous for its natural scenery in the east of Taiwan. I am interested in international affairs, education, and foreign cultures and languages, especially English. I was the vice president of Taitung Fellow Townsman Association for a year at college. Outside of school, I was the founder and manager of a Facebook fan page, Original Disney. Meanwhile, I dedicated myself to an NGO, iEARN Taiwan. I assisted in its winter camp and other events, including participating in iEARN Qatar 20th International Conference & 17th Youth Summit in the summer of 2013 as a Taiwanese delegate. In my free time, I enjoy singing, watching American TV series, and listening to English songs.
Last summer, I stepped into a wonderful journey—the very first Taiwan-America Student Conference. As one of the Taiwanese delegates in the Roundtable of Modern Issues in Education, I proposed some profound insights into the recent education reform in Taiwan. Moreover, I was extremely inspired to see how students from both countries came to share such close friendships. Thus, I’ve been dedicated to passing on the spirit of TASC to more future leaders both from Taiwan and the US since the end of the conference. I strongly encourage all the future delegates to appreciate what they will listen to and share. Each thought-provoking conversation and story helps broaden their horizon and deepen their understanding in a lot of ways. What the delegates are going to explore will go beyond their expectations. |
