What is TASC?
Taiwan-America Student Conference (TASC) is a college-level 3-week summer leadership conference that brings together 42 students of diverse backgrounds and unique perspectives from Taiwan and the United States. The conference travels to four major cities in Taiwan, allowing delegates to explore different regions in Taiwan. The program includes roundtable discussions, speaker series, and immersive cultural activities, allowing the two delegations to learn, work, and explore Taiwan together.
How do I apply?
Students apply as part of either the US or Taiwan delegation.
For US Applicants, the following materials are required:

After your application is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email within 3 days. Qualified individuals will be invited to a virtual interview.
Who is eligible to apply?
TASC seeks a diverse delegation that represents a cross-section of the United States' and Taiwan's accomplished student population. Students apply as part of either the US or Taiwan delegation. (Not sure which delegation you belong to? See instructions here.)
To apply, applicants must meet ALL the following requirements:
(1) Currently enrolled in or recently graduated* from a four-year university/graduate school.
(2) Demonstrated fluency in English, as the conference will be conducted in English.
(3) Obtain passport and/or visa before the start of the conference, as the conference will take place in Taiwan.
*Students graduated from a 4-year university or graduate school in winter 2016 or spring 2017 are considered recent graduates.

What are the application deadlines?
US Application The regular deadline is March 16, 2018 at 23:59 EST with a US$20 application fee. Students applying before February 28, 2018 at 23:59 EST with a $10 application fee. Applications submitted before January 31, 2018 at 23:59 EST will have their application fees waived. The video interview and final decision dates will vary for the Early and Regular applications. Can I apply for financial aid?
Accepted applicants will have the option to apply for need-based and/or merit-based financial aid. More details on how to apply for financial aid will be available soon.
In addition to financial aid, Taiwanese applicants can apply for scholarship. See details here.
Where can I find the conference itinerary?
The site coordinators are in the process of finalizing the itinerary. At orientation, delegates will given a final copy of the conference's itinerary.
What is the recommended attire?
We will be attending events that range from business formal to casual dress. Delegates are expected to bring both business formal and business casual attire. More information can be found on the packing checklist.
Is it mandatory that I participate in all TASC activities?
Yes. Delegates are required to be present all throughout the conference and participate in all activities in order to become fully immersed in the TASC experience.
