Artistic Advisor
Plainsboro, New Jersey, USA
Hi there! My name is Frances, and I’m a rising senior majoring in history at Yale University. I love meeting people from around the world. I've had the pleasure of participating in an exchange program in Hong Kong and traveling to the Philippines and Singapore, where I learned about the local history from enthusiastic history buffs. Currently, I’m in Seoul studying the Korean language thanks to the Light Fellowship. I also speak Japanese, having interned at Rakuten, Japan’s largest e-commerce website, as well as a Tokyo-based non-profit that empowers young tsunami survivors. In my free time, I love to play ping pong, cook, go to karaoke, and make people’s days!

I discovered my passion for history when I began studying Taiwan’s modern history as a middle school student, curious about why my parents and many other Taiwanese identify as Taiwanese and not as Chinese. Since then, I have always been eager to share the story of Taiwan with others, a passion that led me join the founding team of TASC last year. I had an unforgettable experience and am honored to be helping out again.
« Meet the 2015 team.
