JoJo LeeNorthwestern University '18
American Committee Member San Diego, CA JoJo is a sophomore majoring in Interaction Design and minoring in Psychology at Northeastern University. Born in Taipei but raised in San Diego, CA, she never had the chance to become fully immersed in the Taiwanese lifestyle and culture until she attended TASC 2015 as an American delegate. This experience gave her more insight into the perspectives of local Taiwanese on various political and social issues. As a result, she has cultivated a deeper understanding and pride of her Taiwanese roots. Outside of TASC, she has dedicated her time to the East Coast Asian American Student Union, Tzu Chi Foundation, and her university’s Taiwanese Student Association in order to further understand what it means to be part of the Asian-American community, especially with the struggles it faces in American society today despite being considered a “model minority”. In her free time, she likes to play guitar, analyze/write song lyrics, read horror stories, and explore cultural museums.
