Nissen YeahNational Taiwan University
Taiwanese Marketing and Design Chair I am a senior at National Taiwan University majoring in Nursing and Philosophy. I consider myself a rationalist. Aristotle once said that “happiness in life is a chain of rational decisions.“ Warren Buffet also said, “there is no big difference between people in IQ, but in rationality...a lot of people start out with 400 horsepower motors but only get 100 horsepower of rationality. It is way better to have a 200 horsepower motor and get it all in output.” Accordingly, I believe that it is important to think clear, but stay foolish — choose the most important, valuable thing to do smartly, but finish it with the most foolish attitude. I don't consider myself the smartest one, but all I need to do is be rational, have perseverance, and work hard. Last year at TASC, I met many excellent and special people. They were all talented and smart, and I learned a lot from them. TASC may be a challenge, but it’ll be your most rational decision.
I am interested in many things including philosophy, psychology, designing, coding, investing, reading, and classical music. |
