Yi-Su WongNational Taiwan University
Taiwanese Chair Yi-Su is currently a freshman at National Taiwan University majoring in Medicine. Having participated in Model United Nations (MUN) activities for many years, he loves to meet people from diverse backgrounds and explore the world from different perspectives.
In 2017, Yi-Su joined TASC as a Taiwanese delegate. He found TASC as an opportunity to reflect on the value Taiwan represents. Places like the aboriginal village and humanitarian park made him once again impressed with the rich and profound Taiwanese culture and the serious but critical martial-law period in modern Taiwanese history. The sharing from Hsu Chao-bin, a doctor who dedicated himself to improving rural medical resources, let him realize how one can devote himself to his career and belief fearlessly. It was the people he traveled with and those he met who made the journey one of a kind. Through TASC he built deep friendships with delegates from the US and Taiwan alike and became even more aware of the uniqueness of Taiwanese culture and value. Therefore, he hopes to bring an even better experience to TASC 2018 delegates! |
