Karen HoNational Taiwan Normal University
Application Chair Taichung, Taiwan Karen is now a senior student in English Department of National Taiwan Normal University, with a minor program in education. With the experience as a counselor in Seminar on International Affairs and a former intern student in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of China, she considered TASC as especially an exceptional opportunity for students who are interested in cross-culture communication and international affairs, especially in East Asian studies. Within the short three weeks, TASC not only provides a forum for mutual discussion in the important issues such as education, media and communication, sustainability…, but also leads the delegates to the places where histories really took place and where the origins of the problems of a certain issue originated and derived. As a Taiwanese delegate, from her time and experience in TASC, Karen believes that through the 21-day- journey, what TASC creates is a bond not only between people from different countries, but also a bond that connects us to Taiwan- the land we love and belong to. The delegates of TASC, on the other hand, are also a group of people who are willing to step out of the comfort zone to feel the world, face the challenge and make the change. There are so many things things that people could learn from each other, not only during the conference, but also for the whole life. TASC is a place where dots connected and united. Give yourself a chance to join TASC family. There’s always more for you to explore,
